Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Mumbai is engaged in various Gandhian Constructive Activities.

Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Mumbai, was established with the object of conducting and promoting manifold constructive activities with which Mahatma Gandhi was associated during his lifetime. These activities were to be undertaken mainly in Mumbai.

Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Mumbai branch, formally started functioning on 2nd October 1955 when Mani Bhavan was handed over to the then Gandhi Memorial Society. Shri G.V. Mavalankar, first speaker of the Lok Sabha inaugurated the Mani Bhavan Gandhi Memorial. The branch was thereafter registered under Society's Registration Act on 20/9/1962 and Bombay Public Trust Act on13 /3/1964.
